WELCOME
TO BROXBOURNE TENNIS CLUB |
| We
do hope you have looked through the web site and seen all the
activities enjoyed by the junior and mini tennis members at
our tennis club, and we hope that you will want to come along
and play tennis at Broxbourne. |
You
may well want to have some coaching. We have 4 coaches and our
head coach, Mike Seymour will be able to direct you to a group
or individual session which is right for you. You can join in
with the coaching sessions as a non member paying extra at each
session, but this does not allow you to use the courts and other
facilities at any other time.
Why not pay the annual membership fee? These run from April
to April, but if you join at another time of year there is a
reduced subscription. Click on “subs” and download
the pdf file to find how much it will cost you to join. |
| As
a member you can come along at almost any time and use the courts
and floodlights at no extra cost. Playing just once a week for
a lesson you may have often forgotten what you learnt the previous
week. If you are under 8 years old, your membership fee allows
you to bring Mum or Dad along and have a hit with you. If you
are over 8 we have a special “restricted” membership
they can pay so that you can come along and play with you. |
| You
could come and have a hit with other members on your course
and practice what you have learnt the week before. This also
does wonders to help develop your hand eye co-ordination and
improve your ball skills. This will cost little more than you
would be paying throughout the year as a non member. You will
then be able to enjoy our wonderful facilities during the school
holidays. |
| There
are many other benefits of being a member. You will be included
in all the activities and competitions that we organise. These
include friendly box leagues to encourage play and competition
for all levels of Mini Tennis and Junior Tennis, as well as
teams that compete against other local tennis clubs. We run
tournaments throughout the summer, culminating in a finals evening
and BBQ at the end of the summer term. |
| We
welcome your parents to all training and competitions and value
their support. We are keen to involve parents in the club to
help you develop a love of the game. |
| Should
you have any questions please don’t hesitate to speak
to the Junior Secretary, Sarah Elliott on 01992 468911 / 07968
